Lesson 4 of 4

GA4 Setup: Recap And Verify

Recap every lesson, then check your whole container in one pass.

Everything here builds on one base tag that loads GA4 once, then a GA4 Event tag on a Custom Event trigger for each thing worth measuring.

Export your container and verify the module below.

What you covered

  • GA4 Config + Event: GA4 base tag (Google tag) plus a GA4 Event tag for sign_up; Measurement ID in a Constant.
  • Site Search: view_search_results with a search_term parameter.
  • Login & User_Id: Fire login and set a user_id for cross-device tracking.

Check your knowledge

A quick quiz on what this module taught. Pass it and it counts toward your course certificate; you can retake it any time.

5 questions. Answer all of them, then submit; you need 4 of 5 to pass.

  1. 1. What does the base Google tag do in a GA4 setup?
  2. 2. The push is { event: "sign_up", method: "email" }. How does the method value end up on your GA4 sign_up event?
  3. 3. Which GA4 event and parameter capture what visitors search for on your own site?
  4. 4. Why set a user_id for logged-in visitors in GA4?
  5. 5. Your Measurement ID appears in the Google tag and several GA4 Event tags. Later the property changes. What setup would have made this a one-line fix?

Answer every question to submit.
